Bio Wang Ruolei is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the National Governance Department of China National Academy of Governance, where he serves as the Executive Deputy Director of the Human Rights Research Centre at the Academy. Professor Wang holds a PhD in Jurisprudence from Renmin University of China. His honours include being selected as one of the Top Young Talents in the "National High Level Experts Support Program", one of the Top Ten Outstanding Young Jurists in the Capital, and a Young Academic Leader in Social Sciences of Beijing. His primary research interests span state governance, jurisprudence, historical and social theory. He has published sole-authored books, such as A Theory of Political Accountability and The Practical Logic of legalization in National Governance, along with over ten co-authored scholarly works. He has also published over 60 papers in leading academic journals, including Chinese Journal of Law, China Legal Science, Tribune of Political Science and Law, Law Science, China Law Review, and Global Law Review.

In August 2023, Wang attended the IASIA 2023 Conference in Philippines. He delivered a speech titled “The Modernization of State Governance in the Historical Process of China—from the Perspective of Effective Organization” in the working group on “Public Sector Ethics and Culture”. Furthermore, in June 2024, Wang was appointed as a co-chair of a new Working Group of IASIA, which called Promoting the Principles of Effective Governance for Sustainable Development (PEG). He collaborated with the colleagues for preparing the WG and gave an online opening remark for the kickoff panel session. In October 2025 on the annual conference in Mexico, Wang was elected as a Member of the Board of Management of IASIA.
