IIAS 2026 Conference: Call for Papers Now Open – Seoul, 17–20 November

Steve Troupin,

The conference will examine how public administrations can harness economic growth for broader societal resilience and legitimacy in a world marked by overlapping crises. It will explore new forms of collaborative governance involving private-sector and societal actors, the rejuvenation of strategic public leadership, and the enabling role of public administration in talent development, ethical AI governance, and inclusive innovation — all while preserving and strengthening public value.

We warmly invite scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to submit high-quality individual papers and panel proposals. A selection of papers will be considered for a special issue of the International Review of Administrative Sciences, with a book volume also planned.

  • National industrial policies and public–private collaboration

  • Resilience, supply chains, and strategic autonomy in a multipolar world

  • Outcomes-based instruments and measuring public value for inclusive societies (including social impact bonds and sustainable ageing)

  • Civic Tech and citizen-driven social innovation

  • AI readiness and data-driven governance

The European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) invites scholars and practitioners to propose new initiatives for its 2027 Annual Conference, taking place at Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary, from 24 to 27 August 2027. EGPA provides a European forum for public administration scholars and practitioners to present research, exchange perspectives and develop collaborations across public administration, public management and public policy. The call welcomes proposals for three formats: Permanent Study Groups (PSGs), Ad Hoc Groups (AHGs) and Specialised Panels (SPs). EGPA looks forward to welcoming new initiatives, perspectives and research communities that will enrich its 2027 Annual Conference and contribute to the development of public administration research across Europe and beyond.
