"Building Effective and Innovative Governance Future:
Changing Mindsets, Sharpening Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies."

The Institute of International and Administrative Sciences (IIAS) is proud to announce the release of Public Administration in Italy in Political and Historical Context: The Craft of the Italian State, edited by leading experts Edoardo Ongaro, Carla Barbati, Fabrizio Di Mascio, Francesco Longo, and Alessandro Natalini. This comprehensive volume is the first of a three-part series that delves deeply into the development of public administration, management, and governance in Italy.

The history of public service education and training have long been pivotal in shaping the governance and operations of governments worldwide. Editors Toon Kerkhoff (Leiden University, The Netherlands) and Denis Moschopoulos (the Ionian University of Corfu, Greece), along with a distinguished international team of contributors, have meticulously examined and chronicled this journey in the recently released book, "The Education and Training of Public Servants: Systems and Practices from the Nineteenth Century to the Present."

The latest addition to the Governance and Public Management series, titled Finnish Public Administration: Nordic Public Space and Agency, delves into the intricacies of public governance in Finland. Edited by Elias Pekkola, Jan-Erik Johanson, and Mikko Mykkänen, the book offers a comprehensive analysis of various aspects of Finnish public administration.
