Fabienne will remain as an icon of IIAS. She joined us in 2000 upon graduation with a PhD from UCLouvain. During her 24 year long service with IIAS, she was key to the spectacular development of the European Group ...

The Latin American Group for Public Administration (LAGPA), the regional entity of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), played a pivotal role at the XXIX International Congress on State Reform and Public Administration. The event, organized by the Centro Latinoamericano de Administración para el Desarrollo (CLAD) in partnership with the Government of Brazil, the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), the National School of Public Administration (ENAP), and other key collaborators, took place in Brasília from November 26 to 29, 2024.

In a productive meeting held at the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP) in Mexico, in October 2024, leading representatives from the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and INAP gathered to discuss avenues for collaboration and the prospect of re-establishing INAP’s membership with IIAS as a national section.

The LAGPA 2024 Conference was held in Mexico City, Mexico, on 22-24 October 2024. The event was organized by the Latin American Group for Public Administration (LAGPA), the regional entity of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), the University of Valle (Colombia), and the Mexican National Institute of Public Administration (INAP) with support from the Latin American and Caribbean Development Bank (CAF), and addressed the theme "New Perspectives and Challenges of Democracy and Governance in Latin America." Convening approximately 200 participants over three days, the conference brought together attendees from Mexico, Colombia, Tunisia, Morocco, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and the United States to discuss critical issues facing the Latin American region.

We are excited to announce the launch of new website pages for both the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) and the Latin American Group of Public Administration (LAGPA).
