IASIA 2025 Conference Now Accepting Submissions in Spanish

The International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) is pleased to announce that submissions in Spanish will be accepted for selected tracks of its 2025 Annual Conference, to be held in Mexico City from October 13 to 17, 2025, in partnership with the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP) of Mexico.

This initiative reflects IASIA’s ongoing commitment to diversity, accessibility, and meaningful global dialogue in public administration.

What’s New?

To ensure a more inclusive and engaging academic environment, IASIA 2025 Conference will accept:

  • Conference Theme Track papers in English or Spanish
  • Panel proposals in English or Spanish
  • Working Group papers in English only

By broadening the language options for selected tracks, the Conference aims to foster richer exchanges of perspectives and encourage greater participation from the Latin American and Caribbean community.

Preparations Underway

In preparation for the event, IASIA and INAP recently convened a high-level coordination meeting to align strategic and logistical priorities. The session brought together key figures from both institutions to ensure a successful and impactful conference in Mexico City.

Among the participants were Dr. Sofiane Sahraoui (IIAS Director General), Dr. Najat Zarrouk (IASIA President), Prof. Liza van Jaarsveldt (IASIA Functional Vice President for Programs), Dr. Ricardo Corral (Director of CECAP at INAP and Conference Rapporteur), and Dr. Steve Troupin (IIAS Executive Director and Executive Secretary), alongside Mtro. Armando Alfonzo Jiménez, Santiago Flores Garduño, and Isaac Luna from INAP.

The meeting reaffirmed a shared commitment to academic excellence, regional engagement, and meaningful international collaboration.

About IASIA 2025 Conference
Held under the theme “Shaping the Future of Governance: Transforming Mindsets, Enhancing Skills, and Expanding Knowledge,” the Conference will gather scholars, practitioners, and students from around the world to discuss public governance in its many different aspects and approaches.

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) actively participated in the 24th session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA), held in New York from 7 to 11 April 2025. This year’s session was centered on the theme "Governance and institutional perspectives on advancing sustainable, inclusive, science and evidence-based solutions for the SDGs."

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) deeply mourn the passing of Dr. Blue Wooldridge, a revered scholar, educator, and lifelong advocate of diversity, equity, and excellence in public administration.

With an academic career spanning more than five decades, Dr. Wooldridge served as Distinguished Career Professor and Professor Emeritus at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he shaped generations of public servants and scholars.
